Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 July 2026
1. What this covers
This policy explains how Office Elves (operated by the site operator) uses cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage) on officeelves.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. What we use
Office Elves uses only strictly necessary cookies and storage. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics or tracking cookies on this site.
| Technology | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication tokens (local storage / IndexedDB) | Google Firebase | Keeps you signed in to your account and workspaces. | Until you sign out |
| Session preferences (local storage) | Office Elves | Remembers choices such as your active workspace. | Until cleared |
| Payment cookies | Stripe | Fraud prevention and secure checkout when you subscribe or manage billing. | Set by Stripe; see Stripe's cookie policy |
Because everything above is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, UK law (PECR) does not require a consent banner for it. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
3. Emails
Campaign emails sent through Office Elves by our customers may include an open-tracking pixel and tracked links so the sender can see aggregate open and click statistics. These operate in the email, not on this website, and every campaign email includes an unsubscribe link.
4. The chat widget on other sites
Businesses can embed the Office Elves chat widget on their own websites. The widget stores a local identifier in your browser so a conversation can continue across page loads. The business embedding the widget is responsible for its own cookie disclosures; we process widget conversations on their behalf under our Data Processing Addendum.
5. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary storage above will prevent you from staying signed in. Guidance for common browsers is available at ico.org.uk.
