A Salesforce alternative built for small businesses

Office Elves gives a small team the whole front office in one place: a CRM, a sales pipeline, support tickets, an AI chat agent and email campaigns, for one flat monthly price per workspace. No per-user licences, no implementation partner, no admin certification required.

Why small teams look for a Salesforce alternative

Salesforce is a remarkable product. It is also an enterprise product. Its pricing is per user per month, its power comes from customisation that usually needs a trained admin, and its features are split across separate clouds for sales, service and marketing that are bought and configured separately. For a company with fifty salespeople and a RevOps team, that model makes sense. For a shop with three people wearing every hat, it often means paying enterprise prices for a fraction of the value, and spending weekends watching setup tutorials.

Office Elves was built for the second group. It assumes you have no admin, no consultant and no patience for a six-week rollout. You paste one line of script on your website, point the AI agent at your help docs, import your contacts, and the system starts working the same afternoon.

What you actually get in Office Elves

Every workspace includes the same set of tools, gated only by plan size:

  • Contacts CRM. One record per customer with their details, tags, custom fields, file attachments and full conversation history. Companies can be tracked alongside people, and contacts export to CSV whenever you want your data out.
  • Sales pipeline. Deals move across stages on a drag-and-drop board, so you can see what is about to land and what is going quiet.
  • Support tickets and shared inbox. Chats and emails become tickets with statuses, priorities and assignments. First-response SLA timers are set automatically by priority (30 minutes for urgent, 2 hours for high, 8 hours for normal, 24 hours for low), and keyword automations can set priority, add tags or assign a teammate the moment a ticket arrives.
  • An AI chat agent on your site. Powered by Anthropic's Claude, grounded in your own knowledge base, speaking in a tone you configure, and escalating to a human when needed.
  • Email campaigns. Segment contacts by tag and send broadcasts, with open and click stats.
  • Reports. A reporting view over your support and sales activity, with CSV export.

Pricing: flat per workspace, not per user

PlanPriceSeatsAI replies / month
Starter£19 / mo2500
Growth£49 / mo63,000
Scale£149 / mo2515,000
Enterprise£799 / moUnlimited100,000

Compare that with per-user pricing. Salesforce Starter Suite lists at around 25 US dollars per user per month, and Professional and Enterprise editions are considerably more, per person, per product. A six-person team on Office Elves Growth pays £49 a month for CRM, pipeline, tickets, AI chat and campaigns together. The same six people on even the cheapest Salesforce tier pay more for the CRM alone. Full details are on our pricing section.

Where Salesforce is still the right choice

We would rather you pick the right tool than pick us for the wrong reasons. Choose Salesforce if you need deep third-party integrations from a large marketplace, custom objects and complex automation flows, advanced forecasting and territory management, or enterprise compliance and audit requirements. Office Elves does not try to replicate any of that. It aims to be the tool you do not need a course to use.

Switching is smaller than it sounds

Most small businesses keep far less in Salesforce than they think: a contact list, some open deals and a pile of closed history. Export your contacts as CSV, bring them into Office Elves (by hand for short lists, or via the REST API on the Scale plan), recreate your open deals on the pipeline board, and you are done. Your historic reports stay in your Salesforce export for reference. There is no data lock-in on our side either: contacts and reports export to CSV at any time.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Office Elves cost compared to Salesforce?

Office Elves is priced per workspace, not per user: Starter is £19 per month with 2 seats, Growth is £49 per month with 6 seats, Scale is £149 per month with 25 seats, and Enterprise is £799 per month. Salesforce is priced per user, with Starter Suite listed at around 25 US dollars per user per month and Professional editions considerably more, so a five-person team on Salesforce typically pays more than the same team on an Office Elves Growth plan, before any add-ons.

How do I migrate from Salesforce to Office Elves?

There is no one-click Salesforce importer yet, and we would rather tell you that plainly. In practice small teams migrate by exporting contacts from Salesforce as a CSV and re-adding them, either by hand for small lists or through the Office Elves REST API on the Scale plan, which supports creating contacts programmatically with de-duplication by email. Deals and companies are then recreated in the pipeline, which for a typical small business is an afternoon of work rather than a consulting project.

What does Salesforce do better than Office Elves?

Plenty, honestly. Salesforce has a huge ecosystem of integrations via AppExchange, deep customisation with custom objects and flows, advanced enterprise reporting, territory management, and an army of certified admins and consultants. If you have a large sales organisation, complex compliance requirements, or need dozens of third-party integrations, Salesforce is the safer enterprise choice.

What does Office Elves do better than Salesforce for a small business?

Simplicity, price and breadth for the size. One flat monthly price per workspace instead of per-user licences, setup in an afternoon instead of an implementation project, and support tickets, an AI chat agent, CRM, sales pipeline and email campaigns included together rather than sold as separate clouds. Small teams get the whole front office without hiring an admin.

Does Office Elves include AI?

Yes, on every plan. Each workspace gets an LLM-powered chat agent, built on Anthropic's Claude, that you embed on your site with one line of script. It answers from the knowledge base you give it, in a tone you choose, and hands the conversation to a human when it is unsure or when the visitor asks. Salesforce's comparable AI features are typically paid add-ons on higher tiers.

Can I try Office Elves for free?

Yes. You can sign up and start free without entering a card, connect the chat widget, and see the elves work before paying anything. Paid plans start at £19 per month.
